PSI Turns Out for

Great Lakes Event

PSI Chapter President Tamara Mayberry of Pioneer Industries International was among the nine PSI members who attended the ReMA Great Lakes Regional Conference, held Aug. 4-6 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Other PSI members at the event included Tony Ely and Tina DiMarco of Ely Enterprises, Mark Francis of Synergy Waste Management, Cameron Keefe of Sierra International Machinery, Jen May of Recycling Today, Jon Mann of BE Equipment, Josh Padnos of PADNOS, and John Stanzione of Pitt Penn Recycling (shown at right with PSI President Tamara Mayberry). In addition, Past PSI Chapter President Linda Leone—who retired from WestRock and the PSI Chapter in 2023—attended the event.

The Great Lakes Regional Conference, held at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, offered a range of business, social and recreational activities.

On the business front, the event featured two workshop sessions, an award presentation to ReMA President Robin Wiener, and an exhibit hall of recycling-related vendors.

In terms of social and recreational activities, the event offered a late-night reception at a beer garden, a fishing tournament, a golf tournament, a kayak tour of Presque Isle, a pirate cruise, a joint reception of the ReMA Women in Recycling Council and Young Executives Council, and an outing to a minor league baseball game.
