The Presbytery of Sheppards & Lapsley is grateful again to be able to offer scholarships for summer camp at Living River. After you have registered for camp, use the link below to apply for a scholarship.  Our scholarship funds are limited, so be sure to apply early! Scholarships are limited to one scholarship/child for the season. Although there are no restrictions for church affiliation in the application, priority will be given to members of churches in the presbytery or have connections to one of the churches. It’s going to be a great summer!!!

PHFC Thrift Store Monthly Donation day at SVPC

The next collection date is Saturday,
May 7, 2022. Bring your usable discards, gently used clothing, etc., to the Presbyterian Home for Children's reception center in the rear parking lot, below the playground of Shades Valley Presbyterian Church.

Volunteers will be on hand to unload your vehicle and to give you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. The center will be open from 8 AM - 12 noon. To volunteer or for more information, contact Terry Tingle, 256-339-4030.

Stillman College Board of Trustees Chair Donald Comer will host a black-tie gala to benefit Stillman College on April 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hotel Capstone on the University of Alabama campus.

In-person attendees will choose from dozens of workshops in addition to plenary sessions and worship programs. Virtual attendees will join us for plenary sessions, both of our worship programs, and new this year, your choice of two workshops from each session. If you plan to attend in person, we are offering group pricing for in-person attendees from the same congregation, or consider attending as a hybrid group from your congregation with some in-person and some online.*

9 AM - 4 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday, staff works from home Tuesday and Thursday.
Oakmont Chapel Presbyterian Church in Hoover, AL, is searching for a Choir Director due to the retirement of our long time Director. In this position you will work with Dr. Jonathan Brown in selecting music for our Sunday services, directing practice on Wednesday evenings and rehearsal on Sunday mornings prior to each service.
