Shades Valley Presbyterian Church has a number of red hymnals and Bibles available (on a first come basis). If you or someone you know is interested, please email Lana Lash at lana@svpcusa.org as soon as possible. The deadline for request is July 1. Pick up would be required within two weeks.

Perry Dallas County Fund

MCLO This Fall
If you are a new stated clerk, executive/general presbyter, or associate, you are invited to participate in the Fall 2022 Cohort of the Mid Council Leader Orientation, online September 13–16. Here’s the basic schedule, including the plans for follow-up webinars. An invitation list is being kept; you can ensure you’re on it by letting us know of your interest. You’re also encouraged to inform us of any colleague who’s eligible.
Registration will open in mid-July to allow plenty of time to complete the required pre-event prep activities.

The Presbytery's Pentecost CANpaign for 2022 is beginning. This CANpaign is designed to combat hunger. Churches in the Presbytery will collect money and cans of food to be given to the hunger organizations of their choice. One dollar counts as one can of food. The CANpaign will run from June 5 through August 10.

Cemeteries and Columbariums
The Presbyterian Foundation is working on perpetual care of cemeteries and columbariums and they would very much like your input. This is to invite you to a meeting with the Foundation on July 26th, 2022 at 2 PM at Southminster Presbyterian Church. The Presbytery has pre-ordered 200 copies of the 2022-2023 planning calendar. Please email Tammy if you would like to reserve one or more in the amount of $10.50 each. (regular price is $16.95) Estimated time of shipment is mid to late June.

Southminster Presbyterian Church Foundation for Ministry
The purpose of the Southminster Presbyterian Church Foundation is to expand the ministry and mission of Southminster by supporting community and service agencies and special missions of the church in the community, presbytery, synod, and the world.
The Foundation awards grants annually to support this ministry and mission. The Foundation is now accepting grant applications for 2023. The total funds available are $31,000. All grant requests must be received by September 1, 2022. Grants will be awarded in late November.

The Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley announces a position opening of Stated Clerk beginning January 1, 2023.
We have been so grateful for Peter Finley stepping in as the transitional Stated Clerk. As his position ends at the end of this year we are searching for an installed Stated Clerk for a three year term (renewable).

Oakmont Chapel Presbyterian Church in Hoover, AL, is searching for a Choir Director due to the retirement of our long time Director. In this position you will work with Dr. Jonathan Brown in selecting music for our Sunday services, directing practice on Wednesday evenings and rehearsal on Sunday mornings prior to each service.
