Kissick Family Foundation Announces Funding Opportunity in FTD


Letter of Intent deadline: November 1, 2024


The Milken Institute is excited to announce the launch of the second cycle of the Kissick Family Foundation Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) Grant Program. The RFP calls for basic science or early-stage translational research projects that focus on building a fundamental understanding of sporadic FTD. The Kissick Family Foundation, with guidance from the Milken Institute Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC), welcomes proposals requesting up to $500K over 2 years.

New Open Call: Action for Women’s Health, a $250M Global Open Call

Pivotal, a Melinda French Gates organization, launched Action for Women’s Health, a $250 million global open call that will fund organizations around the world that are improving women’s mental and physical health. Action for Women’s Health – managed in partnership with Lever for Change – will support organizations of diverse geographies, sizes, perspectives, and approaches that are united by their work to improve the mental and physical health of women.

Diabetes Research Center Pilot & Feasibility Program Call for Proposals

The Diabetes Research Center (DRC) of the University of Pennsylvania is now accepting applications for support to perform pilot and feasibility studies in diabetes and related endocrine and metabolic disorders. The P&F program is intended to support new investigators and established investigators new to diabetes research. ARPA-H launches program to develop tear-based biomarker measurement platform

ARPA-H announces a new funding opportunity through the Ocular Laboratory for Analysis of Biomarkers (OCULAB) program. OCULAB seeks to develop a tear-based biomarker measurement system that can be inserted into the tear duct for continuous health monitoring and provide ultra-precise medication dosing for personalized treatment via a closed-loop delivery system.
