An updated Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) Instruction Guide is now available. Funding Opportunity for Research Investigators Interested in Advancing Women’s Cardiovascular Health

Letter of intent deadline: January 15, 2025

The NHLBI is one of twelve organizations participating in the Global Cardiovascular Research Funders Forum (GCRFF), which has launched the International Research Challenge on Women's Cardiovascular Health. Through this initiative, the GCRFF will fund one world-class international research program to advance women’s cardiovascular health for up to $10M over five years.

Burroughs Wellcome Fund Postdoctoral Enrichment Program

Submission deadline: January 20, 2025

The Postdoctoral Diversity Enrichment Program (PDEP) provides $60K over three years to support the career development activities for underrepresented minority postdoctoral fellows in a degree-granting institution in the United States or Canada whose training and professional development are guided by mentors committed to helping them advance to stellar careers in biomedical or medical research.

PSOM Limited Application - Mathers Grant Program (Spring Cycle)

Submission deadline: December 20, 2024

The University has been invited to nominate three candidates for the Mathers Grant Program (Spring Cycle). The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) is managing the final candidate review and selection process. Each school within the University may submit the names of up to three candidates.

PSOM Limited Application - Packard Fellowships for Science & Engineering

The University has been invited to nominate two faculty members for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation Fellowships for Science and Engineering Program. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) will determine the final candidates to represent the University. Each school within the University may nominate two candidates.

13th annual Regeneron Prize for Creative Innovation

Submission deadline: January 27, 2025

The Regeneron Prize for Creative Innovation, funded by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., recognizes and honors creativity and innovation by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the biomedical sciences. Together, the Biomedical Postdoctoral Programs and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research are conducting an internal competition to identify the two postdoctoral trainee finalists for Penn.

Penn Transplant Institute’s Center for Transplant Science and Innovation Pilot Grant Program

Submission deadline: January 6, 2025

The PTI Pilot Grant Program is intended to support new investigators to solid organ transplant research or established investigators exploring new areas of research. Applications are welcome to support basic and translational research. Multidisciplinary research is encouraged.

Philadelphia Program for Mentored Research Training in Kidney, Urologic, and Hematologic Diseases (PERFORM-KUH)

Submission deadline: January 15, 2025

New NIDDK-sponsored research training program called PERFORM-KUH. Penn, CHOP, Drexel, Temple/Fox Chase, and Jefferson have partnered to create a Philadelphia-region training program in Kidney, benign Urology, and benign Hematology (KUH). Four pre- and seven MD/DO or PhD post-doctoral trainee slots are available annually in areas relevant to the NIDDK Kidney, Urology, and Hematology Section.

Penn Center for Musculosketal Disorders Pilot and Feasibility Grant Program

The central theme of the Center will continue to be “Musculoskeletal Tissue Injury and Repair”. The Pilot/Feasibility Project submissions should be related musculoskeletal tissue injury and repair which is the broad focus of the Center.

ARPA-H launches program to create high-quality, diverse, representative medical imaging data exchange platform

Proposers' Day: January 9, 2025

ARPA-H announces a new funding opportunity through its ImagiNg Data EXchange (INDEX) program. INDEX intends to develop an exchange platform to connect medical imaging data providers, users, and services to create robust and trustworthy AI tools for radiology, pathology, and surgical imaging. Through a forthcoming solicitation, INDEX invites proposals across three technical areas: business model and business plan, system architecture design and implementation, and enrollment.

ARPA-H Announces New Funding Opportunity to Make AI-enabled Tools More Reliable

ARPA-H has launched the PRECISE-AI (Performance and Reliability Evaluation for Continuous Modifications and Useability of Artificial Intelligence) program to ensure AI-enabled medical tools stay accurate and reliable over time.
