Luke 4:14-21
This week we hear of Jesus in the temple, he takes the scroll and reads "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me." And Jesus goes on to share all the he has come to do: bring glad tidings to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives, give sight to the blind, and free the oppressed. God sent Jesus to bring healing to our world, and He restored life, sight, hearing to those who walked among him 2,000 years ago. Yet, it didn't stop when Jesus was crucified, He longs to bring the same healing, freedom, and restoration to each of us today.
On the way to Mass: If Jesus was on Earth now, what miracles would you hope he would work?
On the way home from Mass: Did you hear the might work Jesus said he would do? How do you think this made people feel when they heard him say this?
Challenge of the Week: Have each family member pick a person or situation to pray for, and whenever you see a picture or statue of Jesus this week say a pray for that intention.
