Luke 9:28b-36
This week we hear how Jesus brought Peter, James, and John up a mountain to pray. While they were on the mountain top, Jesus was transfigured before them---his face and clothes becoming a dazzling white. Peter is so moved by the experience, that he desires to build tents and remain there. When was the last time you felt that you were in the presence of God? Perhaps on a retreat, in nature, holding a newborn baby? Lent is a time we are called to deeper prayer--whether we are reading Scripture, journaling, soaking in beauty, praying the Rosary.
On the way to Mass: Imagine that Jesus invited you to go somewhere special with him. What would you hope to do with Jesus?
On the way home from Mass: How do you think Peter, James, and John felt seeing Jesus a dazzling white?
Challenge of the Week: Find a piece of sacred art to put in a prominent place in your home---on the kitchen table, fridge, or entry way. Let this serve as a reminder this week that God is dwelling with your family.
