PSR families,

While Lent is in full swing, it is never too late to take up a new practice of prayer, fasting, or almsgiving! Many families in our parish and surrounding area were impacted by storms 10 days ago. This coming Sunday, the Knights of Columbus are hosting a pancake breakfast, with all proceeds going to our St. Vincent de Paul Society who helps those in need in our neighborhoods. Stop by for a time of fellowship, while helping those in need!

Looking Ahead:

March 26th: Class and Confessions

April 2nd: Class and Living Stations

April 5th: First Communion Retreat Morning and Practice 9-11am in Church

April 6th: Confirmation at the Cathedral Basilica at 2:30 pm

April 9th: Class

Please keep our students preparing for First Communion and Confirmation in your prayers as they enter their final stages of preparation.

What a joy to walk with you along the Stations of the Cross as we reflected on how following Jesus keeps us on the narrow path that leads to life!

There is still time to bring back your baby bottles---empty or filled for Our Lady's Inn. Each empty bottle saves OLI from buying replacements. Please bring your bottle in April.

See you on March 26th for class!

Don't forget, we are going to confession. Take a moment to examine your conscience before you arrive.

Report an absence here!

Luke 13: 1-9

This week we hear the story of the prodigal son---some think it better called the Merciful Father. What has been your experience of mercy? Do you allow yourself to receive God's mercy? If we look at Rembrandt's painting of the Prodigal Son, we notice that the son has been on a long, hard journey. Some of our spiritual journeys may feel similar, especially if we have been away from Reconciliation for a number of years. If you are struggling to come back to Reconciliation, or the distance seems impossible to close, know that even the smallest opening in your heart to the Father's mercy brings you to his threshold. He is already up and running to you! This Lent, how will you meet his embrace?

On the way to Mass: How does it feel to ask for forgiveness?

On the way home from Mass: Why do you think the Father threw a party when his son came home?

Challenge of the Week: Make a plan to go to Reconciliation before Easter---consider joining our parish service with outside confessors on April 10th from 5:30-7pm.
