Raising the Risk of Nuclear War: the US, Russia, North Korea & Iran
Zia Mian is a physicist and co-director of Princeton University’s Program on Science and Global Security. He received the 2014 Linus Pauling Legacy Award for his accomplishments as a scientist and as a peace activist in contributing to the global effort for nuclear disarmament and for a more peaceful world. Zia Mian will present on the threats and opportunities regarding the impending nuclear crises with Russia, Iran and North Korea. Visit the page for the event here .

1) Attend the DEP Public Hearing in Marcus Hook!
Event D ate: Tuesday, May 22, 6:00 – 8:00 PM EDT
In response to public uproar, The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will be hosting a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Marcus Hook Community Center, 7 West Delaware Avenue, Marcus Hook, PA 19061 from 6 to 8 pm.

Sunoco would like to install a cold flare stack and ethane storage tanks in Marcus Hook, PA to replace an illegal flare they had been operating in Delaware for several years, until the DE regulators found out. The illegal flare was and this flare would be connected to Mariner East 1, 2, and 2x infrastructure, as well as the giant natural gas caverns below Marcus Hook

Requests to comment must be in by May 15. Call Virginia Cain directly on 484-250 5808 to let her know you wish to comment and she will put your name and organization down or you can comment as a "concerned citizen”. Time for comments is limited to 3 minutes per person.

PSR testified the appeal of SEPTA's Air Permit!
Dr. Walter Tsou testified at the appeal of the air permit granted to SEPTA on April 17. Standing room only crowd!
The State of Women's Health Symposium
Dr. Poune Saberi presented at The State of Women's Health Symposium on April 25! This symposium took place in order to educate and delve deep into the most critical issues for women, families and non-binary individuals at this moment in time.
