1. Fracking & Radioactivity: The Downstream Dirt!
PSR PA invites you to attend our event Fracking and Radioactivity: The Downstream Dirt . Here, we will discuss the adverse health impacts of pipelines, compressor stations, gas power plants and cracker plants.

This topic will be discussed at on two days at two different locations .
(1) Friday, February 28 at 6:00 PM at the Friends Center in Philadelphia - 1501 Cherry Street, Philadelphia PA 19102
(2) Saturday, February 29 at 10:30 AM at the West Whiteland Township Building in Exton - 101 Commerce Drive, Exton PA 19341

There will be two speakers, Justin Nobel and Sharon Kelly. You can read Justin's blockbusting article on radioactivity in Rolling Stone magazine .

Philadelphia Public Health Grand Rounds
On February 19, PSR Board President Dr. Pouné Saberi, MD, MPH spoke at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. During Philadelphia Public Health Grand Rounds, Dr. Saberi educated on the topic of Climate Change and the Air We Breathe.
Environment America Report
On January 28, PSR's executive director Dr. Walter Tsou, MD, MPH spoke at a press conference with State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta and Alex Lola of PennEnvironment. Here, they discussed the new Environment America report, which was a major critique of burning fossil fuels and addressed the need to clean up our air with renewable energy

Our partners at the Southwest PA Environmental Health Project (EHP) have written a letter regarding shale gas development in PA and its correlation with adverse health issues. Click here for more information.

DC Fire Drill with Jane Fonda

Through working with Alliance of Nurses for a Health Environment, PSR PA's Medical Advocacy Coordinator Laura Dagley joined over 60 other nurses for Fire Drill Fridays with Jane Fonda. The rally focused on the health impacts of climate change. By the end of the day, 138 people were arrested, including our Laura Dagley. She spent 8 hours in a cold jail cell with Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinhem, Sandra Steingraber, and many others.
