Autumn is a great time to enjoy an outdoor urban hike, and celebrate the diversity that is the Pathway to Adventure Council? The newly crafted Pathway to Adventure Council Trail is your solution. SERVICE CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Service Center and Scout Shop year-end schedule
Please note that all PTAC Service Centers and the Munster Scout Shop will be closed on December 18, 19, 20 for Staff Training. The La Grange, Chicago, and Arlington Heights Scout Shops will remain open.

Additionally, All PTAC Service Centers and Scout Shops will be closed December 24, 25, and January 1.

There are more than 7,500 PTAC volunteers who provide adult leadership to our units, districts, and council. Some council-level volunteers serve on four panels that provide specific support. Youth Recognition Dinner
Please join us on Saturday, March 7, at our annual dinner celebrating Eagle Scouts, Venturing Summit Award Recipients and Sea Scout Quartermaster Award Recipients from 2019! All of Pathway to Adventure Council's award recipients and their parents are invited to join us in this amazing celebration of Scouting's highest awards.

ACTIVITIES
PTAC 2021 National Jamboree Contingent
The National Jamboree is the ultimate Scouting experience - and we want your Scouts to participate! Registration is now open for Pathway to Adventure Council's contingent to the 2021 National Jamboree, held July 20-31, 2021, at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

Takhone Winter Banquet
Takhone Lodge will host their 1st Winter Banquet at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 28th at Chateau del Mar in Hickory Hills, IL. Come celebrate the lodge's accomplishments with all your OA friends.

Takhone Lodge Dues
You can now pay your 2020 dues! Dues remain at $15 through March 1st. For $115, you can purchase a 2020 Paddle Pass which includes your dues along with the event fees for the work weekends, fellowships, and 2020 banquet.
ADVANCEMENT
North Park University Merit Badge College
North Park University Merit Badge College registration opens on December 20th. This is a STEM-focused day of learning at a 4-year private college lead by counselors that are professors. Classes are small and last year this event sold out a month in advance. Inspire your Scout with a higher learning experience on February 29th.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
2020 Camp Staff Applications
Pathway to Adventure Council is excited for summer camp 2020 to begin! We are now accepting applications for paid and volunteer camp staff positions at Napowan and Owasippe. Staffing summer camp is an amazing experience for Scouts and Scouters alike!

2020 Camp Counselors-In-Training Applications
Do you know a scout who has strong leadership potential, is high-energy and is ready to try out camp staff? We're looking for applicants for 2020 Camp Counselors-In-Training (CITs) at Camps Napowan and Owasippe. Counselors-In-Training must be 14 years old by the start of summer camp and must be willing to spend several weeks as a volunteer member of the camp staff.

Camp Rentals
Pathway to Adventure Council owns and operates four beautiful camps. Our camps are open year-round and are great locations for Scouts of all ages to experience and learn what the great outdoors offer!

TRAINING
Winter National Youth Leadership Training
Were you unable to attend NYLT in the Summer? Good news, we have a Winter 2020 session! This session is a two-weekend format offered at Camp Big Timber in Elgin on January 17-19 and February 14-16, 2020. Participants must attend both sessions. Register now for this youth leadership training - come out for "school in the snow!" Participants will be staying in heated cabins - this is not winter camping - it is training.

The 2020 renewal for all Merit Badge, Nova and Super Nova Counselors starts now!
It is time for Merit Badge, Nova and Supernova Counselor renewal! To renew, please review the Merit Badge Counselor and Nova/Supernova renewal letter. Make sure to click the red button on the bottom of the letter to fill out the renewal form.

Please note that we need all Supernova Mentors and Nova Counselors to submit a separate copy of the new Background Check Authorization form, in addition to the copy you may have filled out with your unit . This form may be scanned directly to Mary.Demski@Scouting.org .
