Camp Lakota Pack-Up Day

Your help is needed! With Camp Lakota's closing, we want to be sure that all useable equipment and supplies, as well as memorabilia, is safely packed and transported to our other council camps.

Youth and adults are welcome to participate in these workdays. Please dress for the weather and bring work gloves and a water bottle. Work will include removal of items from buildings and campsites, inventory, and loading storage containers to be shipped to other camps.

Meets the new NCAP requirements for Short-term Camping SQ – 405 Health Officer.

IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills) training introduces the adult Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, or Crew Advisor to the outdoor skills learned by Scouts through First Class rank. This includes interactive sessions on cooking, fire building, orienteering, knot tying, and much, much more! All Scouters are invited, including committee members, Webelos leaders, and any other interested adult leader.
BALOO Cub Scout Leader Training

BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Training) is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters. This course also replaces the previous OWLS Course.

BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and this practical, hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader.
Cub Scout Rangemaster Training

Get trained to run Cub Scout BB Gun and Archery Ranges at Council and District events. Shooting Sports are a major highlight in the Cub Scout program and helping them learn a new skill is very gratifying. This is required training for anyone who will be volunteering as a Rangemaster.

Short-Term Camp Administrator Training

Virtual Event

The short-term camp administrator is responsible to oversee the safety and planning of the short-term camp. In addition, this person will be responsible for the NCAP assessment process for the short-term camp.

USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Training Certification

The Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course provides graduates the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery range and ensures that minimum standards for archery instruction are consistently taught to provide for the safety and enjoyment of the participants, instructors, and spectators.
Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training

Join us on Sunday, May 23 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for our virtual Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training. This training is designated for Den Leaders, Cubmasters, and Pack Committee Members, as well as any interested parents. Additionally, we will be offering training for STEM Nova Counselors and STEM Supernova Mentors.
