Pathway to Adventure Council and Pecatonica River Popcorn announce a new partnership
The Pathway to Adventure Council (PTAC) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Pecatonica River Popcorn (Pecatonica), which will provide the product for our 2020 popcorn sale. With 37 years of experience working with Boy Scout Councils, Pecatonica will deliver a high-quality experience and delicious popcorn to our Scouts for their fundraising.
The decision to switch popcorn providers was made by PTAC Board Members, Popcorn Kernels, Unit Leaders, and staff, who took into consideration product selection, quality, packaging, and taste. In taste tests, Pecatonica consistently outperformed other popcorn vendors. It also scored highly in volunteer focus group sessions. Furthermore, Pecatonica offers a wide variety of products, including caramel and cheddar varieties, which have been high-demand products in the council’s past sales.
Beyond offering a delicious product, Pecatonica will also provide a free taste testing kit to every unit. By doing so, each of our Scouts will be able to sample the products they will be selling and can offer suggestions to their potential customers. Individual Scouts can also participate in the scholarship continuation program (If previously enrolled with Trails-end). All Scouts will have the opportunity to earn new high-achiever prizes, provided by Pecatonica.
