Pond sets sights on infection prevention

One would logically expect, during a pandemic, government dollars to be funneled into health services, and away from infrastructure. So, when COVID-19 hit, Pond realized it could be facing some tough times. One of the city’s top employers, Pond, provides services to federal, state and local governments in areas such as engineering, architecture and construction work. Pond has called Peachtree Corners home since 2005, and there are more than 300 employees assigned to the headquarters here. The company realized it needed to balance its portfolio to weather some potential challenges.

Interns take cues from local soft- ware company

Four interns from Georgia universities participated in a summer internship program at Brightree in Peachtree Corners this summer. They focused on marketing, sales, and business development techniques.
Gwinnett Transit Forum outlines projects, timeline
There is a new website that outlines the 82 major transit and infrastructure projects in the 2020 Referendum, as well as a short video and map detailing the projects at complete system buildout. What is the difference between this referendum and the 2020 referendum? If approved, there will be broader coverage, a shorter timeline and the system will be managed by Gwinnett County.

PTC recognized as first smart city
Nextgov magazine recently bestowed the Smartest City crown on Peachtree Corners.

The magazine noted that the city is one of the only locations in the world where smart city technology, including driverless cars, smart cameras, and millions of Internet-Of-Things (IOT) sensors come together in one place.

  • T-Mobile is investing more than $11 million on a switch expansion in a 24,000-square-foot building in Peachtree Corners. The project consists of new computer rooms, generators, condensers, switchgear, and administrative spaces.

  • One of America's largest financial management and process outsourcing companies is moving to 6801 Governors Lake Parkway. Convergent is renovating two floors in building 100 to accommodate a customer assistance contact center, a roughly $1 million project.

  • Kettlerock brewing is renovating the interior of 6025 Peachtree Parkway.

  • Childs Company, a private wealth management firm, has relocated from Buckhead to 655 Engineering Drive, Suite 125 in Peachtree Corners.
