PTO Board Member Elections
Edison Regional Gifted Center elections will take place virtually on May 9, 2023. The email with link will be sent on Monday evening.
We invite all interested parents of students currently in Kindergarten - 7th grade to run for the open positions. Positions will be held starting at the PTO meeting in July 2023 until the PTO meeting in June 2024 with the exception of President, which is a two year term. Commitment includes monthly PTO meetings, tasks listed below, and other duties as decided by the board collectively.

Open positions include:
President
- Supervise all business affairs of the PTO
- Preside over all PTO meetings
- Maintain and respond in a timely manner to the PTO email account.
- Ensure the PTO is acting in the best interest of all members of the Edison community.
1st Vice President
- Act as President when the president is unavailable for meetings or correspondence
- Oversee all fundraising efforts of the PTO
2nd Vice President
- Oversee the solicitation and recruitment of Members
- Maintain the PTO Website
Secretary
- Keep minutes and attendance records of all meetings
- Be the custodian of the corporate records and seal of the PTO and see that said seal is affixed to all documents
- Ensure timely communication with all PTO partners, including updating Edison's weekly newsletter
2nd Secretary
- Perform the duties of the First Secretary and Treasurer at all meetings and events when they are not available.
- Maintain the public records of the Organization including the agenda, minutes, and financial reports for each meeting
2nd Treasurer
- Perform duties of the Treasurer at all meetings and events when they are not available
- Perform quarterly review of the accounts
- Facilitate annual audit with accountant
Appreciation Coordinator - NO CANDIDATES as of 5/7
- Coordinate appreciation days for staff and teachers
- Coordinate volunteer and member appreciation for the PTO

To run for office or vote for officers, everyone must be a paying member of the PTO.
