PTO Policy Change; Updates Effective Jan. 1
As we approach the new year, we'd like to provide you with additional insight into the upcoming changes to our PTO policy, effective Jan. 1, 2024. This communication includes details that have changed since our last communication, so please read through carefully. We recognize this topic has sparked considerable discussion, and want to ensure that all questions are thoroughly addressed. To that end, we're offering more detailed information on how we will manage time entry and PTO below.
 
For all employees, UKG will serve as the source of truth for your current PTO balance, which is a step toward the overall vision of offering a more comprehensive human resources information system (HRIS). PTO time earned and PTO time used will be shown in UKG. STAR will no longer report any PTO balance information.
 
Requesting Paid Time Off (PTO)
Any existing processes for PTO approval within your office/segment should continue as usual in 2024. PTO time imported into UKG will not require approval, and it is the responsibility of each employee to communicate their time off with their respective teams.

For STAR & ConnectWise Users:
  • Employees using STAR or ConnectWise for timekeeping in 2024 will continue to enter all PTO time into STAR or ConnectWise. Any entered PTO time will automatically feed over into UKG on a biweekly basis.
 
Investment Partners (INVP) Employees:
  • Starting Jan. 1, 2024, all time (for hourly employees) and PTO (for both hourly and salary employees) must be directly entered into our UKG system. Time entry for hourly employees can be entered either daily or at the end of every week. PTO entry can be future dated.
 
Rea Corporate Partners (RCP) Employees:
  • Starting Jan. 1, 2024, Rea Corporate Partners (RCP) employees will continue to enter all PTO time into STAR.
  • Hourly RCP team members will be also be required to enter all time into STAR.
  • Salary RCP team members will not be required to enter in time except for PTO. Any entered PTO time will automatically feed over into UKG on a biweekly basis. We anticipate additional changes for this user group, so further communication will be sent out to impacted employees as those changes are made. 
 
All rollover PTO hours will be visible in UKG by the second pay of the year (Jan. 19, 2024). As a reminder, employees will only be able to roll over up to 80 hours of PTO. Floating holidays are not eligible for roll over.
 
Thank you for your cooperation as we strive to streamline our processes. This change will be key in allowing us to have one source of truth for all PTO time and enable us to have a more complete human resources information system.
