GCM is so proud to have an amazing band program, led by Mr. Paul Vesilind, offering opportunities for high school band students to perform as part of the Marching Satesmen on the field at halftime during home football games and at marching competitions during the fall season—as well as on stage during concert season!
Marching band students spent the final three weeks of their summer break in August participating in all-day marching band rehearsals, preparing and polishing their spectacular show! They will be performing in the stands this week at our first GCM home football game. After that, you can catch performances by the Marching Statesmen on the field at halftime during all remaining varsity home football games, as well as at various marching competitions this fall.
In the meantime, please save the date for TAG DAY, the fall band fundraiser, on September 9. Band students will team up to canvass neighborhoods in the Marshall High School district in order to promote the band program, invite our neighbors to come and see a show/concert, and request donations on behalf of the band. Thank you in advance of your support for the GCM Band and its students during this fundraising effort!

Dear parents, we kindly request your assistance in empowering our students, building a strong community, and shaping a stronger future by participating in some events throughout the year. The image above outlines the roles for each class event. Please consider which events you can contribute to. The ALL NIGHT GRADUATION CELEBRATION (ANGC) provides our graduating seniors with a joyous, alcohol and drug-free night. If you are a parent of a younger student, we urge you to plan ahead and Pay it Forward so that senior parents can cherish graduation day with their loved ones.
Thank you for your support.
