WHS School Council (see ) meets with Dr. Chisum each month to discuss school policies and procedures.  Anyone who wishes to communicate with the parent representatives are encouraged to write to us at [email protected] or contact any of the representatives.


The School Building Committee invites you to come hear about the progress of the Hardy/Upham feasibility study, learn more about the process and next steps, and engage with the Committee and project consultants on Wednesday, January 15th at 7pm in the Wellesley Middle School Auditorium.

Topics will include: The approved educational plan; standards for modern elementary school facilities; the requirements and process for building with the Massachusetts School Building Authority; the criteria for determining whether to build at Hardy or Upham with the MSBA; aspects of each site; and preliminary concepts under consideration.

Please join us to review and provide feedback on the draft redistricting plans.   Forums are scheduled on the following dates:

Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 7 pm
Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 9 am

Both forums will be held in the Wellesley Middle School Auditorium.
Wellesley Green Schools -   The next WGS meeting is a coffee this  Thursday, January 9th at 10am at the home of Sue Morris (16 Framar Road)   (NOTE: this is a date, time and location change!)

Wellesley PAC Coffee -  Please join the Wellesley PAC for their first monthly coffee in the New Year on Thursday, January 9.  The coffee will be held from 9-10:30 am at the home of Christine Mizzi at 16 Suffolk Road.  It is a nice opportunity for parents and caregivers of children receiving Special Education services to get together, share information and offer support to one another.

World of Wellesley is hosting a number of events in January --
  • RACE: The Power of an IllusionCommunity viewing and conversation of the three-part PBS documentary on Thursday, January 16, 23, 30 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  Check out the preview or readIt is a must see! (Offered in partnership with the Wellesley Community Center.)
  • MLK Community Breakfast 2020, Monday, January 20, 2020, 8:00 am - 10:00 am at 
    Alumnae Hall, Wellesley College.
  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Family Event!, Monday, January 20, 2020, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Wellesley Hills Junior Women's Club is  accepting scholarship applications for 2020-2021 through  March 1, 2020 .   In the 2019, the Club awarded a record $72,700 in scholarships and awards to 21 Wellesley students. Scholarships were given to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate college students in amounts ranging from $1,000 - $4,000.     Applications are evaluated based on demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, and involvement in community service. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating from Wellesley High School, Wellesley residents graduating from high school in or outside of Wellesley, or Wellesley residents currently attending undergraduate institutions on a full-time basis.   For more information, please click here.
