Challenge Success
As you know from Dr. Chisum's email, next week is  Technology Awareness Week .  Students will compete in a "bingo" challenge, learn about using the new Screen Time feature on iPhones and watch a Ted Talk about balancing technology and happiness.  Check out the Ted Talk yourself and ask your student what they think:   Why our screens make us less happy

  • December 14th, 9am, Coffee with the Director of Guidance in Faculty Dining Room  - This month's topic will address Challenge Success' Work Load initiative. Dan Levine, founder of Engaging Minds, will be speaking.
  • Attention Juniors - PSAT results are anticipated to be released to students via email on December 11th.  Counselors will be distributing test booklets in Junior Guidance Seminars in January. if you would like to pick it up in advance you may do so by seeing your counselor.
  • Attention Seniors & Senior Parents:
    • The first time you are requesting transcripts you need to do so three weeks prior to the deadline (this does not include vacation days).  Subsequent requests need 5 business days.
    • Now is the time to obtain your FSA ID.  The FSA ID is the Username and Password that will be helpful when filing their original FAFSA and accessing FAFSA information as required. See link to register now. FSA ID.

Congratulations to our Raider Cheer Team! They won first place for dance at the Student Body Hello Cheer and Dance Showdown at the Reggie Lewis Center on Sunday.  There's an informational meeting on Thursday at 6:30pm at WHS if you're interested in joining the team.

The Wellesley Cotillion January 5, 2019! 
Invitations have been mailed for the 2019 Wellesley Cotillion. All Juniors & Seniors who reside in Wellesley and/or who attend Wellesley High School are invited to attend.  Cotillion information, rules & regulations, and a link to purchase tickets can be found on the   Wellesley Cotillion Website.  
Registration closes on December 30th, or earlier, if all 800 tickets are sold. 
The event is organized and executed solely by parent-volunteers and is not affiliated in any way with the Wellesley Public Schools. Adults interested in volunteering may visit the Cotillion Website and look for the link to volunteer.

Office Hours:  The School Committee is pleased to continue to schedule office hours' which provide the community an opportunity for engagement with one or two members of the Committee on a monthly basis.  Sessions are currently scheduled for:  December 13, 7 - 8 pm - Arnold Room, Wellesley Free Library. 2019 Dates will be available soon.
