The CA Division of Boating and Waterways is in the process of completing Safety Risk Assessments for the local anchorages. At this time, we are working on assessments for the Dana Point Harbor Special Anchorage1 and the Newport Bay Harbor Special Anchorage2.
We respectfully request your assistance in these assessments. As organizations that hold extensive stake in the local waterways, your involvement is essential and of extreme importance. Any relevant information you can provide us with regards to navigational safety, protection of the marine environment, infrastructure in close proximity, mishaps, or any other information you deem applicable would be greatly appreciated. If possible, we would like to collect all information by Friday, October 14th.
