Worship with us this Sunday!
Worship with us at 10:00am on Facebook Live or on YouTube anytime after it’s posted there in the early afternoon. Our scripture passages are the story of Pentecost - when the people were given the promised gifts of the Holy Spirit - as told in Acts 2:1-12 and the all out celebration of Psalm 150. We will focus on how the Spirit infuses us with gifts that help us to be at home in unity and diversity as we live and love like Jesus. [Though we won’t see you, consider wearing RED in celebration of the passion and light of the Holy Spirit!]
Livestream worship on designated Sundays. Look under videos for previous livestreamed services.
All our worship service videos in one place!
All Mid~Week Meditations that have been recorded on YouTube.
Order of worship, announcements, prayer list, birthdays and anniversaries.

Wear red – in honor and celebration of the Holy Spirit’s flames and warmth – and meet us outside The Aronson Fine Arts Center at Laumeier Sculpture Park in Sappington at 2pm. Read more about this St Louis treasure here:
[Currently LSP is suggesting you have a mask with you in case physical distancing is not possible around the art and/or restrooms.]
If you ever receive an email that sounds suspicious (ie Kevin or another PUCCer asking you for a financial favor), assume it is a scam. Remember to look at the email address they are using not the name they are using. It’s easy to claim someone else’s name but not to take over their email address.

Bill Haack has sent along a pamphlet from the FTC on how to avoid a scam:

Some wind and fire jokes for Pentecost:

Someone threw my ’70s records on the fire.
It was a disco inferno.

Why do wind turbines like Metallica?
Because they're huge metal fans!
When I was younger, my dad went to prison because he set his boss’s house on fire. I always wondered if I’d wind up in jail like my old man, so I visited him one weekend and I asked him, “Dad, are we all pyromaniacs in this family?” And he said...
“Yes we are, son.”
A pastor decided to skip church one Sunday morning and go play golf.
She told her assistant that she wasn't feeling well. She drove to a golf course in another city, so nobody would know her.
She teed off on the first hole. A huge gust of wind caught her ball, carried it an extra hundred yards and dropped it right in the hole, for a 450-yard hole in one.
An angel looked at God and said "What'd you do that for?" God smiled and said "Who's she going to tell?"
3½ minutes describing Pentecost and the days after…

Pentecost burns away those baseless assumptions in a fire from heaven. The Spirit incinerates our old identities – inherited status from our ancestors, our senses of innate superiority or inferiority, our privilege or poverty, freedom or bondage, the roles assigned to us by biology. This gift of fire is followed by the more mundane one, the gift of water. Fire is quickly followed by the flow, the pouring out of Spirit, the living water. We are washed, refreshed, and remade. We drink of one Spirit and find a new identity: Child of God. ~Diana Butler Bass
