Issue #195, April 2021
PUD Lobby Open to Public on April 5
Our lobby will open to the public on April 5. We will be open our regular hours, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Social distancing requirements will be in effect. We require all visitors to wear a face covering.

Our Community Room will remain closed to the public.
Please Don't Post Signs on Poles
Please do not hang anything on utility poles. We know it can be tempting to hang signs or other items on utility poles, but there are good reasons why you shouldn't.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, reliable electrical distribution system.
Slow Down, Move Over for Line Crews
When you see our crews working along the side of the road, please slow down or move over. It will help keep our linemen safe.

Typically cones, traffic signs, or flaggers will alert you that we have a crew ahead. When you see any of these indicators, please slow down or move over a lane if that is a safe option.

Thank you for helping keep our crews safe.
Please Stay Safe from Scam Attempts
Please be wary of scam artists posing as Columbia River PUD employees.

Scammers will call or text message customers and threaten to shut off their power unless payment is made immediately. This is not something we do.

If you ever receive a phone call like this, please hang up and call us at (503) 397-0590.

Here are some more red flags to be mindful of if you receive a suspicious phone call.
Please Plant Trees Away from Power Lines
Trees that are too close to power lines can cause interruptions in service, and may even put people in danger.

You can help by planting trees more than 30 feet away from power lines. Leaving more clearance between trees, limbs, and power lines helps reduce the risk of power outages and wildfires.

Adding Attic Insulation May Lower Electric Bills
Insufficient insulation can contribute to uncomfortable temperatures in your home.

Attics often lack proper insulation, allowing heat to escape during the winter and allowing unwanted heat to enter during the summer.

Call our partners at Efficiency Services Group at (888) 883-9879 or go online to see if you are eligible for our insulation rebates.
Check for Savings Before Your Next Home Project
