Senior Gift Baskets

We'd love to show our 13 PUMC high school seniors a gift of love as they embark on their new adventures after high school. Please use the button below to sign up for items to fill a laundry bag of useful items for life after high school. All items need to be brought to the church and placed in Thomas's office by April 27. We encourage individuals, families, Sunday School Classes and small groups to get together so we can fill these baskets full of useful items. If you have questions, please contact Tanya Medlin. A note of encouragement is always welcome as well! 

Apostles Build 2026

Each year PUMC works alongside Habitat for Humanity, future homeowners, and fellow Christians on a house project called the Apostles Build. PUMC is committed to providing volunteers for 3 days: April 23, 24 and 25. No construction experience is required. To participate you must register through their website link. Click the big blue VOLUNTEER button and set up or login to your account and select the day(s) you would like to volunteer.

Realm Connect Coming April 24

We are excited to announce the launch of our new church management system, Realm Connect, coming on April 24, 2026. Look for an email invitation to create your account in Realm and download the Realm Connect app where you will be able to update personal information, communicate with your groups and teams, follow church announcements, look up members, manage giving, RSVP for events and more!

Family Promise Volunteers

Family Promise is the nation’s foremost organization addressing the crisis of family homelessness. Every few months, we at PUMC have the opportunity to support our local Family Promise in Aberdeen with dinners and overnight volunteers. Our next opportunities are April 27 and 28 and July 13 and 14. Miracle Sunday

PUMC will be joining 30,000 other United Methodist congregations in participating in Miracle Sunday on May 17, 2026. The aim of Miracle Sunday is to receive an impactful offering across our Methodist connection to educate and equip a new generation of church leadership across the globe with a focus on the areas of our world such as Africa, Europe, and the Philippines, in which the funding for such training is sparse.

GriefShare: Loss of a Spouse

A one-time 2 hour “Loss of Spouse” GriefShare seminar will be held on Thursday, May 7 from 5:30-7:30p.m. in Reeves Hall Room 5 at Southern Pines UMC.

This is a seminar for people grieving the death of a spouse. The seminar features a video with practical and encouraging advice from counselors, pastors, and widowed men and women, followed by a small group sharing time. This one time seminar is free.

GriefShare Summer Session

A complete 13 week session of GriefShare will meet at Southern Pines UMC on Thursdays, 5:30-7:30pm from June 4- August 27. This session is for the loss of any human loved one— spouse, child, parents, siblings, other relative, close friend, etc. This 13 week session includes a 30 minute video of insights from grief recovery experts, group discussion, and a personal participants guide for $20. You will meet others who understand what you’re going through. You will receive comfort and support, and you will learn practical tips for navigating your grief.
