Palm Procession

Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Like the people who welcomed Jesus into their city, we wave palm branches and sing "Hosanna!" as a shout of praise. If you would like to participate in the Palm Procession, meet in the narthex before each service.

Maundy Thursday Service

Ensure a more meaningful Easter by participating in our Maundy Thursday service of Communion on Thursday, April 17 at 6pm as we remember the Last Supper and Christ's command to love one another. Childcare provided.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service

Join us for a Good Friday Tenebrae Service with full worship choir on Friday, April 18 at 6pm as we reflect on the passion and sacrifice of Christ through scripture, silence, and the gradual extinguishing of light. This solemn and moving service invites us to enter deeply into the mystery of the cross and God's great love for us. Childcare provided.

Senior Gift Baskets

We'd love to show our 6 PUMC high school seniors a gift of love as they embark on their new adventures after high school. Please use this link to sign up for items to fill a laundry bag of useful items for life after high school. All items need to be brought to the church and placed in Thomas McDow's office by April 27th. We encourage individuals, families, Sunday School Classes and small groups to get together so we can fill these baskets full of useful items. If you have questions, please contact Bridget Johnson/910-722-6237. A note of encouragement is always welcome as well!

Cross of Flowers

You're invited to bring fresh flowers on Easter Sunday to help decorate the cross as a beautiful symbol of new life and resurrection. Just bring your blooms and place them on the cross before the service begins! Flowers will be provided for anyone without. 

Easter Flower Dedications

There are a limited supply of spring plants that will adorn the sanctuary on Easter Sunday still available for purchase in honor or in memory of a loved one. Calla lilies(8) at $30 each and azaleas (3) at $55 each. Additionally, donations with dedications can be made to the altar guild for additional Easter expenses.

PUMC 30th Anniversary Endowment Giving Challenge

The Endowment Team is encouraging each person who attends PUMC to make a contribution to the church’s Endowment Fund between April 27 and May 11. Since this is the 30th anniversary of our church, we are suggesting a contribution of $30 or any multiple of $30. A gift to the Endowment Fund is a gift that keeps on giving, because only the earnings are used to support unbudgeted needs or ministries, such as: choir chimes, handbells, hearing loop, patio and church van. Our desire is that each family will participate. Brochures with more details are available in the narthex and by the water fountain. Any questions, contact Emil Johnson.

Men's Golf Outing

​Calling all men of the church who try to play golf...It's time again for our Men's Retreat at 7 Lakes Golf Club! We will meet on April 26 for a time of fellowship and lunch after the round. Tee times begin at 7:28. Cost is $52 for over 60 and $58 for under 60, includes cart and one beverage. Lunch is not included in price. Pastor Jabe will randomly make the pairings for the day. There will be NO prizes/trophy. Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up. The fun is limited to the first 24 who register.

El Salvador Mission Team Churchwide Lunch

Everyone is invited to join the El Salvador Team for some authentic Pupusas on Sunday April 27 at 12:15pm. At the lunch we will have fun fellowship with the 17 who are going and learn about their upcoming mission experience. RSVP by April 16 using the slips in the welcome pads on Sunday mornings or contact the church office.

We also ask for your prayers as we prepare for the trip. If you feel led to support the experience financially, please give online and choose El Salvador Mission Trip in the menu.

Connections Sunday School

The Connections Adult Sunday School class will begin a new study on May 4 entitled "The Message of Jesus: Words That Changed the World" by Adam Hamilton. The class meets after the 9:40 service just beyond the nursery in Room 117. All are welcome!

Apostles Build 2025

Each year PUMC works alongside Habitat for Humanity, future homeowners, and fellow Christians on a house project called the Apostles Build. PUMC is committed to fully staff 3 days of building May 8-10. No construction experience is required! There are jobs for everyone! To participate in this community mission opportunity you must register through the website link.
