Looking Ahead
Angel Tree
Once again our annual Angel Tree will be virtual. Click the button below to view the list of available angels. Then follow the instructions to sign out your angel and receive an auto response email with all of the information about your angel. The provided list is a wish list, you are not expected to purchase everything on the list, just use it as a guide for purchases.
Angel gifts can be dropped off at church during regular office hours or on Sunday mornings between Nov. 28 - Dec. 6. Please be sure to wrap all of your gifts and label each gift with your angel's name and number.

If you are not yet comfortable shopping and prefer to sponsor an angel and have the missions team do the shopping, go ahead and choose your angel (write "mailing a check" in the comments section) and then mail a check to the church made out to PUMC with Angel Tree and your angel’s number in the memo line no later than Nov. 1 to allow for adequate time for volunteers to shop.
Connections Veterans Concert
PUMC Connections Band presents A Salute to America's Veterans: 200 Years of Heroes, and the Music They Loved on Sunday, November 7 from 4:30-6pm. Special guests include the 6 piece Swing Street Big Band horn section and a cast of PUMC youth. Doors open at 3:45pm.
The Journey Sunday School Class
The Journey class is starting a new study on October 31 on Proverbs. The book we are using is entitled Proverbs: Pathways to Wisdom by Dominick Hernandez. This study explores the context, language, and interpretation of the book of Proverbs. Each chapter covers well known verses and examines prevalent themes throughout the book. From the fear of the Lord to the Woman of Valor in Proverbs 31.
At the beginning of Advent we will start another study entitled Incarnation: Rediscovering the Significance of Christmas. The author, Adam Hamilton, examines the names of Christ used by the gospel writers, exploring the historical and personal significance of his birth. He invites you to reflect upon the significance of the Christ-child for our lives and world today!

The Journey class meets at 9:30 after early service. We welcome all to join us in these studies.
Christian Encounters Sunday School Class
Beginning on October 31, the Christian Encounters Sunday school class will watch and discuss Ray Vander Laan’s “Walking with God in the Desert. The class meets at 9:30am in the last classroom on the right. For more information, please contact Lisa and John Bennett.
