Potluck Supper to welcome Pastor Jabe and family |
PUMC will host a welcome potluck supper for Pastor Jabe, his wife, Amber and kids, Ella, Isaiah and Olivia on Sunday, July 25 at 5 pm. Everyone is invited to share a meal and get to know the Largen family. Please RSVP below and plan to bring a side dish or dessert to share. The church will provide the meat (fried chicken and Boston butt) and drinks.

"Why did you say that, Jesus?" is a question many of us may have had as we were reading scripture or listening to a sermon. Jesus often said things that can be difficult to understand. Join us July 11- August 22 for our newest sermon series as we explore some of Jesus' words on family, money, discipleship, the kingdom of heaven, and more.

Nursery Reopens this Sunday |
Nursery care will be available beginning next Sunday, July 18 during all worship services for children birth-age 4.

Christian Encounter Class |
The Christian Encounter Sunday school class will begin a new 6 week study on July 18 by Max Lucado called "Jesus the God Who Knows Your Name." The group meets in the last classroom on the right from 9:30-10:30 am. There is a Zoom Link for anyone unable to come to the class in person. Children 5th grade and younger AND their families are invited to our final Anchored Summerama 2x2 event. We will have dinner each night, followed by games, crafts, and fun deepening our faith in God. |

Tuesday, July 20th- Kids 5th grade and younger are invited to come from 5:30pm -8pm for dinner, songs, lessons, crafts, games, and lots of FUN!
Wednesday, July 21st- Families are invited to join us for dinner, games, and fellowship beginning at 5:30pm.

Look for a basket in the narthex tied with balloons this Sunday. In the basket will be books written for children ages 2-9. The books cover topics such as love, diversity, death, heaven, secrets, Jesus and others. They are written for children, but also great for moms, dads, grandmothers, granddads or anyone who is interested in instilling lifelong values for little ones.
Return the books to the basket after reading.

We are collecting school supplies for Moore County students from July 18-August 11. Click the link for a printable supply list. Drop off items in the narthex in the missions' corner.
Financial contributions are also accepted. You can mail a check to the church made out to PUMC with "School Supplies" in the memo line or donate online and select school supplies from the drop down FUND menu.

Adult Teen Challenge Golf Tournament |
You are invited to the summer golf tournament benefiting Adult & Teen Challenge on Saturday August 21st at Longleaf Golf Course in Southern Pines. The proceeds will go directly to support recovery for men who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. Click here to register.
