August 2015 Edition
Dear Beloved,

I would like to welcome you to our August Newsletter.

What a pleasure it is to share being In His Presence with you this month of August. What a privilege it is to be alive in these exciting days, when we see God's Presence and Power being made manifest in places that His Name is being honoured. It's like having a spiritual feast, and Papa God loves to bless us.

We are really excited as the count down to our Kingdom Harvest conference has begun. We'll be welcoming some 14 members of the International Ministry Team of Global Awakening accompanying Dr. Randy Clark on this Nigerian visit. My heartfelt desire for each one is to commit the three days to the Lord so you receive the abundance He has purposed for you. The teaching and impartation is different each day, and our Intercessors are praying for the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit ever. We desire the transformation of our hearts so our nation is transformed, so please join us in prayer for the conference.

In His Presence
PURSUE HIS PRESENCE TO WALK IN HIS POWER.

If I asked what you understand by the expression, 'Pursuing God's Presence', I have no doubt that I would receive a whole lot of different answers. One person who really understood this was King David which is clear from the Book of Psalms. In Psalm 84:1-4, David tells us how his soul yearns and is homesick for God, his heart and flesh cry out for God's Presence. He says those who dwell in God's Presence are blessed. In Psalm 63:1-4, we see a desperation and a devotion from David to be inside the heart of God. David wanted his spirit, soul and flesh to engage fully and at all levels with God. He lets us know that this can only be achieved in worship, as we lift our hands up in total surrender to the living God. We know that as we abandon ourselves to Him in true worship, we become more like the One we worship. In other words we are daily becoming more like Him.
In Psalm 42:1-2, again, we see David trying to compare his desperation for God with the desperation of a deer for a refreshing stream on a hot day when they have been away from a water hole for a long time. This picture is very vivid if you have been at a water hole on a safari. The animals that have been wondering around, suddenly discover there is water nearby to quench their thirst. The speed with which they pursue this scent of water to get there and drink, is phenomenal.

From these three examples, there is a desperation and yearning deep inside David that he has identified. We all have that deep longing inside our hearts as seen in Ecclesiastes 3v 11. We are told that God has set eternity in each of our hearts. This has been described as a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun except God can satisfy. In other words, this is a God-shaped hole in our hearts, which only God can fill. The question then is, have we identified this God-shaped hole inside us so as to pursue Him to satisfy us with His love or are we busy trying to satisfy it with stuff the world offers?
It's possible that we know about this God-shaped hole in our hearts, but, knowing about water does nothing to satisfy, except actually drinking it. In other words, like David, we need to pursue the experience of His love, deep in our hearts, so our soul and flesh become satisfied like was David's cry.

This pursuit of God's Presence happens in relationship as we engage our hearts with His heart. As we hunger and are desperate to respond to the love which He first lavishly poured out on us, we come into experiencing Him. This is what satisfies. This really is not achieved through discipline, but through a heart devoted in love to Him. Spending time in the Lord's Presence regularly, develops a new sensitive heart in us (Ezekiel 11v 19). Jesus died so we would have a new heart with His commandments written on it. He desires that we hear His voice and communicate with Him. He says His sheep hear His voice (John 10v 3). Our inability to recognise His voice, may have resulted from our having over ruled our conscience too often, because we want to do things our own way. This tends to dampen the ability to enjoy our hearts engaging with His Heart.

When we pursue this relationship with God, such that it becomes our highest priority, not only will we be bringing God pleasure, but our lives come into the abundance that we were made for. Jesus said that He came to give us life, and life more abundant. In other words the fruit of the pursuit of His Presence is His Power. As we soak in His Presence, our desires, are being changed, our hearts are being softened, our minds are imbibing heaven's ideas, and our love for Him is becoming more tender.
As we regularly experience the Presence of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will fill empowered and compelled to release His Love, Kingdom and Power everywhere we go. The world that God so loved and sent Jesus to die for, will then receive and experience Him as we release not only His Word, but also His Presence and Power.

God bless you,

Mina.

Bible Passage
Psalm 84 : 1 - 4

1.
How lovely is Your tabernacle,
O Lord of hosts!

2.
My soul longs, yes, even faints
For the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

3.
Even the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself,
Where she may lay her young-
Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
My King and my God.

4.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;
They will still be praising You. Selah
