LCAP Listening Campaign

Invitation to all Parents/Guardians, Students, and Staff,

PUSD is currently gathering community input for its local control accountability plan, which outlines how the district serves specific student groups.

Please consider participating in this important Thoughtexchange by going to tejoin.com and using code: 693-243-275. Your thoughts and ratings will help us reflect on how we can best support all students now and in the future. We will be using your thoughts and perspectives to help develop our new Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) that will be implemented from 2021-2024. You can learn more about our District Organization Goals, previous LCAP goals and districtwide student achievement and engagement data by reviewing our PUSD Listening Campaign presentation.

Please share your thoughts and then rate at least 20-30 of the thoughts that others have shared. Please come back often until March 5, 2021 to rate new ideas. Thank you for your contribution. Your participation is a critical part of our focus on priorities in support of student success.

PPIE Business School Engagement
PPIE is excited to highlight an exciting collaboration between Omron Robotics and The Foothill Robotics Club. The Zoom session facilitated conversations between the students and Omron about the club goals, competitions and Covid modifications that have impacted the club this year.  Omron leaders also shared their career paths that led them to their jobs held today and what their jobs look like. The club members were then able to ask questions and the two groups shared some lively dialogue about design notebooks, coding beyond vex and the clubs partnership with their feeder middle school (Hart).
Parenting Tips from your School Social Worker Team
Being a Role Model For Your Student
Research shows that how parents or caregivers respond to pressure directly correlates to how their students respond when faced with challenges themselves. Parents or caregivers can support their students by taking a close look at how they personally respond to mistakes or failures and how they determine when something is good enough. As a parent or caregiver, you are a role model for your student of how to make mistakes gracefully and then move on in a healthy manner. To learn more, check out the online series Tools for Supporting Your Anxious Child developed by your School Social Workers. Brought to you by your PBIS School Social Workers.
