The Lenape Challenge is a unique adventure race that combines 5 miles of off-road running with 2.5 miles of paddling on the Perkiomen Creek. The course starts at the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy in Schwenksville and takes you on a romp through fields, woods and up over the slopes at Spring Mount. After a wicked climb and maddening decent, you'll hit the Perkiomen Creek for an epic 2.5 miles of boulder dodging and rapid running. You'll finish the race with a dash to the finish! Presented by The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy.

All welcome to attend the Speaker's House Party for Preservation Fundraising Gala!  The Speaker's House, home of Frederick Muhlenberg-first Speaker of the U.S. House-will host a fundraiser gala on April 28 including a special presentation of the Speaker's Choice Award to R. Scott Stephenson, President and CEO of the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. 
The Community Music School of Trappe will provide live music, and there will be a silent auction featuring works of art made by local craftspeople and unique experiences at area historic sites and museums. All proceeds from this event directly support the restoration of the historic Frederick Muhlenberg house; projects for this year include restoring the cooking fireplace and front door. The four-decade Ursinus College career of John French, the college's William F. Heefner Professor of Music, will be celebrated during a special Ursinus College Choir and Meistersingers spring concert.
The performance will take place in Bomberger Hall on the Ursinus College campus on Sunday, April 28, at 4 p.m.

The concert will serve as a retrospective of French's career, featuring excerpts from the larger choral works performed by the college choir and meistersingers over the years, including compositions by Maurice Duruflé, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn. It will also include a new commissioned work by Philadelphia composer Kile Smith with college organist Alan Morrison providing accompaniment on the Heefner Memorial Organ.

All are welcome to celebrate French and wish him well on his retirement. The Ursinus College Department of Music offers a wide range of free musical performances throughout the spring. Parking is available on concert days in the West Lot off the Ninth Avenue entrance to the college.

This performance is free and open to the public.

Community Music School's annual PERFORMATHON is coming up on May 4th and we need your help!  This event is an all-day marathon student recital fund-raiser, where students from our 450+ student body raise sponsorships for their performance. All proceeds benefit our student scholarship fund that provides merit and need-based scholarships, AND free or discounted programming for our students and our community. Last year, we were able to award nearly $10,000 to CMS students who otherwise may not have been able to advance their love for music. We would not be able to provide the nearly 50 free masterclasses, workshops and recitals for our students or 40 free events for the community without funds raised through Performathon!  We need your help to make this event a huge success! PVSD Seeks Donations From The Community
Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking financial support to build a Viking statue on the Perkiomen Valley High School Campus that will stand as a permanent representation of our school district pride and also mark the district's 50th anniversary . The project costing $85,000 was recently approved by the school board. PV is now seeking funds to raise the money in time for a Spring 2019 dedication.
