Dear Sea King Families,

It was a great week to be a Sea King! On Thursday night, PVHS held a successful Open House event, hosting over 1000 potential students and families from the Class of 2026. The night was an opportunity for PVHS to shine, as we showed off our academics, arts, signature programs, and athletics. The event included videos from our own Live from 205 students, as well as performances showcasing all that make PVHS special. A night like this does not happen without the support of our faculty, staff, students, and families. A special thank you to all of our school community members that made this event a huge success.

On Saturday night, our Sea King students celebrated Winter Formal at the OC Hangar! Students enjoyed game tables, a photo booth, air-brushed tattoos, and yummy snacks, all while dancing the night away. These nights are the memories that make our students' high school experiences and delaying this event was worth it so our kids could enjoy this fun night as a school community. Thank you to our amazing ASB director, Jama Maxfield, the incomparable Patty Camp, and the entire team who helped make this event come together! A special thank you to our teacher chaperones, PVHS security team, and our Associate Principals for spending their Saturday night with our kids. We could not host these types of events without their dedication to our school.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support of our Sea King community. It is an honor to serve as the principal to our PVHS students, faculty, staff, and families. Enjoy a restful and relaxing Sunday!

Sincerely,

Dr. Trista Ramirez
PVHS Principal

Student Spotlight
Friday night our Music Program hosted their Honors Music Recital. There were a wide variety of performances from our students showcasing their amazing talent. Congratulations to all of our students and director Ms. Shellie Parkinson on a successful show!
The Varsity Boys Tennis started their season this past week! Wednesday, they played San Marino High School on a cold and windy day. Despite these adverse conditions, our boys finished triumphantly with a score of 10-8! The very next day, Thursday, they faced Loyola High School. It was another close match that came down to the last doubles match. The team beat Loyola 10-8 and are off to a fantastic 2-0 start!
