Dear Sea King Families,

We had a fantastic first week back to school. See below for some of the highlights!

Sincerely,

PVHS Administration and Staff
COVID Reminders

1. All students must present their "Green Screen" clearance when they arrive on campus each day. We recommend that anyone coming to campus fill this out at home and take a screenshot of the clearance screen so they do not have to fill it out while on campus.

2. Additionally, in alignment with PVPUSD protocols, PVHS will require masking at all times while on campus with the exception of eating, drinking. Students will be allowed mask breaks if they are outside and more than 6 feet away from other individuals.

3. Lastly, please do not send your student to campus if they are sick, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or are currently under quarantine.
Back to School Highlights
To get ready for school our staff worked together on the "Marshmallow Challenge" to see who could build the highest tower out of spaghetti and tape. Congrats to Ms. Fleming, Mrs. Kostrencich, Mrs. Jimenez, Mrs. Lancey, Mrs. Remeta, Ms. Sinso, Mrs. Stapleton, and Mr. Warren for winning!
Students were back in class and ready to learn on the first day of school. They got to know their peers, their teachers, and interacted with the curriculum like making geometric shapes out of string in Ms. Metcalfe's class or launching pennies in Mr. Warren's physics class.
Students in Mrs. Mindicino's class worked in groups on the “Student Body” to learn about our goals (head), things we like to listen to (ears), how we want to be seen (eyes), problems we face (shoulders), things we like to do (hands), favorite foods (stomach), things we feel strongly about (heart), and places we want to go (feet). They had so much fun talking with each other, meeting new people, and hearing what their classmates had to say.
ASB and Red Tide also hosted the first school-wide pep rally in the stadium to get our Sea Kings excited for the upcoming school year.
