Student Spotlight

The PVHS and Peninsula Friendship Clubs joined together to celebrate Halloween on Friday. Lots of laughter and plenty of costumes made the afternoon a fun one. The PVHS club will meet Tuesdays at lunch on Zoom, and will join with our Panther friends every other Friday. If you're interested in joining the PV Friendship Club, contact Emily Drawer ( or Ms. Klabe (

Math Club is off and running, straight into competitions. Last week, we competed in California Math League -- with perfect scores for Aaron Guo and Eugene Lee, followed by Curtis Liu and freshman Vanya Agrawal. This past week, we start Math Madness, winning our first round.  Eugene, Lee, Curtis Liu, & freshman Christine Xie scored perfect scores, followed by Jack Yang, David Maemoto, Caeden Kim, Vivian Chan, & Aaron Guo. Congratulations to all of our Mathletes!
Counseling Office Updates

Seniors- If you have not yet met with your counselor regarding your plans for college or post-secondary options PLEASE sign up for an individual appointment to meet with your counselor to discuss your plans using the link below. As a reminder the deadline to request a counselor letter of recommendation is November 2nd.

Students! Check out our virtual wellness center on the PVHS website. There are a variety of wellness resources that you can access that will be helpful in de-stressing and managing anxiety during distance
learning. You can access these by clicking on the different pictures in the virtual wellness room. You are also welcome to make an appointment with one of the Student Support Specialists here if you'd like to talk.

Attention Students:

SoCal ROC/SCROC 8-week online courses begin on Monday, November 16th! Choose from 3D Digital Animation, Adobe Illustrator or Emergency First Responder. Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills and exploring a career in graphic design or the medical field. Courses are FREE for high school students! As a South Bay Families Connected partner school district, our teens have access to the new SBFC Virtual Teen Center. This was created by local teens from the South Bay community who understand the challenges that teens are facing during these current times. These teens have produced videos and curated resources to help support teens mental health and wellness. It is their goal to help others with practicing self-care and kindness, encourage teens to connect with their passions and remind the teen community they are not alone during these challenging times. School Picture Day

Students, school picture day for all grades will take place on November 4th-6th from 3-6pm in the music room and upper dance room. When arriving on campus all students will be asked to show their clearance from the screening which can be found here. Students should enter near the the MPR. Students should wear a face covering while on campus and maintain proper social distancing guidelines. Please follow the schedule below based on student last name:
All Senior Dedication Ads will be created directly through Jostens for the 20-21 school year and must be completed by November 5, 2020. Do not send materials to the school or advisor.
