Dear Sea Kings,

Please see below for updates on everything happening at PVHS. We encourage everyone to continue to check our Distance Learning webpage for additional updates and information as well. On our school webpage you will also find quick links for technology help, scheduling a meeting with your counselor, and reporting an issue anonymously. Check the right hand side of the main webpage for access to all three links.

Student Spotlight

Last weekend, the Model United Nations team attended the virtual UCLA Conference. All of our participants did an amazing job representing their countries and finding solutions to world issues. Caeden Kim and Kelsey Turnbull won an Honorable Mention award while representing Angola. Mark Lin and Alex Naehu won an Outstanding Delegate award while representing France. A great job done by all and congratulations to our award winners.
Counseling Office Updates

Seniors- If you need a counselor letter of recommendation please reach out to your counselor directly as the deadline has passed. Also, a reminder that the deadline to submit your UC application is November 30th and for the Cal States the deadline is December 4th. The UC's and CSU Campuses do not want nor require transcripts or letter of recommendation at this time.

Attention All Students! Would you like to meet with your counselor to discuss academics, college interests or personal issues, we are here to below to make a virtual appointment with your counselor at a time convenient for you.

Students your counselors know virtual learning is not easy. We hope you took some time over Thanksgiving Break to unplug, relax and recharge. Check out the new virtual learning Wellness Tips section on the counseling office website for suggestions on how to manage stress and anxiety during this difficult time.
As a South Bay Families Connected partner school district, our teens have access to the new SBFC Virtual Teen Center. This was created by local teens from the South Bay community who understand the challenges that teens are facing during these current times. These teens have produced videos and curated resources to help support teens mental health and wellness. It is their goal to help others with practicing self-care and kindness, encourage teens to connect with their passions and remind the teen community they are not alone during these challenging times. Check out the resources at the link below.
