Welcome, new Board members!

There have been some recent changes on the PVNA board:

Welcome to new Board members Val Schaeffer (SE Quad. Director), Arlene Danser (Graffiti Abatement Coordinator), and Patrick Hart (NE Quad. Director). New Board members will receive onboarding and a board 'mentor' to help them be successful.

Grateful thanks to resigning board members Dianne Teegarden (Fundraising & Community Engagement) and Brian Gill (Vice President).

We are also happy to announce that Nancy Stromp, SW Quad. Director, has been appointed Vice President to serve the remainder of Brian's term.

Come meet your PVNA board at an upcoming monthly meeting or special event.

Welcome to all new Board members!

Neighborhood Leader Workshop with Watershed Management Group

"Build Your Own Basin" Neighborhood Leader Workshop

Save the date for Saturday, August 26!

Includes a take-home BYOB kit for each household.

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamental steps to Build Your Own Basin (BYOB) and plant a rain garden. This workshop is led by Andrea Salazar, WMG's Community Restoration Project Manager, and they will give you a step by step lesson on how to build your own basin in your yard to capture rain and plant a native shade tree.

Everyone who participates in this workshop qualifies to receive one of our BYOB kits, which includes a native tree, shrub, grasses, wildflower seeds, and mulch. With your participation in this workshop, you can take home a BYOB Kit before you leave our Living Lab and Learning Center. (1 kit per household).

After this initial workshop, neighbors who attend will go on to host another workshop at their home and build another basin with other neighbors, spreading the education and sharing the work amongst yourselves. WMG and myself would continue to support the workshops by providing plants, tools and educational support.

Email us info@paloverdeneighborhood.org to sign up to participate. (Your contact information will be passed along to the organizers.)
