Help Plan the 2023 Palo Verde Neighborhood 4th of July Parade

Did you know the Palo Verde Parade has been going since 1963? Be a part of this long-standing tradition and help plan the 2023 parade!

Would you like to volunteer for the 4th of July Parade planning team for this year's event? Email us at info@paloverdeneighborhood.org to join the team, or to submit questions or comments.

There are many ways to volunteer! Event coordination, sponsor outreach, general communications, tabling, setup/takedown, social media, etc. Perhaps recruit a neighborhood friend to join you, and connect with other neighbors while contributing to this great event.

Help Address Food Insecurity in Palo Verde

Did you know Tucson has a food insecurity issue? According to University of Arizona research, Tucson ranks second only behind Colorado Springs in the Western states with approximately 12% of households in a food crisis. But what about Palo Verde Neighborhood (PVN) - our neighborhood - could there be neighbors in need? Families, veterans, or seniors? Let’s find out.

The PVNA Board would like to look at food insecurity in our neighborhood. The team will start their research by looking at City of Tucson programs, what other neighborhoods are doing, and by defining the PVN need. Then we will consider a variety of options to reduce (or eliminate) food insecurity in our PVN.

A team has begun to form. Would you like to join for the initial meetings? Email your PVNA Southwest Quadrant Rep Nancy at pvnaswquad@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more or joining this effort.
