4th Saturday Walk & Talk Clean Up a Success!

Neighbors tackled the trash and goathead weeds after the big storm Friday night, showing some love to the stretch of Bellevue from Country Club to Jones. The Board plans to make this a monthly event every fourth Saturday, so stay tuned for the August edition! Many thanks to Jill, Lorraine, Michael, Sonja, Christopher, Val and Maribeth for their efforts.

New Bollards at Palo Verde Traffic Circles

Permanent bollards have been added to the traffic circles in the neighborhood to replace temporary delineators and barrels. The new bollards are much sturdier and highly visible and should increase safety around the circles. The photo below shows the bollards in place at Bellevue and Palo Verde.

Many thanks to Ward 6 Council Member Steve Kozachik for funding the project and to the City of Tucson Street Maintenance department for installing the bollards!

Brush & Bulky Pickup Begins August 7th

City of Tucson Environmental Services begin pickup of Brush & Bulky items on Monday, August 7.

Items that will be picked up include automobile tires, appliances, cactus, furniture and carpet, lumber, scrap metal and brush (branches, yard waste, etc.) Any items that are not listed will not be picked up, including construction materials, household hazardous waste, televisions, concrete and glass.

Now's a great time to work on property clean up ahead of Brush & Bulky!
