We have an amazing treat for our November luncheon. Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Ann Timmer will be speaking to us. You can imagine how busy her schedule is during this election period, so let’s all attend and hear about her very complex job. I’m allocating sufficient time for questions from our group. Please remember that we cannot ask any questions about any current cases she is currently handling or any that she MAY handle in the future. Contrary to my previous announcements, Justice Timmer will not be commenting on the Packing the Court Issue. She wishes to keep her comments strategically to her Constitutional duties and how the court works in Arizona.
George Khalaf is a favorite speaker for our group, and he will be providing an update on election results. I personally feel like this election cycle has gone on for years, and I’m eager for the results and George’s thoughts behind the results.
Our final speaker will be Gina Maloney. She is the 1st VP of the Arizona GOP, and she is also the Chairman of LD 5. Her topic will be how the results of the election may/might impact the upcoming MCRC and GOP elections in January.
In addition, we will be treated to lots of information about our December program featuring ALECA, the dogs and their handlers. Carol Ann Smith, Joan Lang, and Casey Hargett and numerous other members have joined together to put this event together. I can’t wait.
