Members of HIV and AIDS communities are invited to participate in a meeting to review and provide feedback on the preferred concept plan of Barbara Hall Park, including the AIDS Memorial. The preferred concept plan of the park and AIDS Memorial was shaped by community feedback from two phases of community engagement.

Anyone with a personal connection to the AIDS Memorial is encouraged to attend this meeting.

We remain grateful for the guidance, knowledge, and perspectives shared by HIV and AIDS communities and organizations in developing a plan for the future of Barbara Hall Park. Your contributions have helped shape the direction of this work, ensuring that the experiences of people living with HIV and the histories connected to the AIDS Memorial remain central to the park's evolution. Thank you for your patience and for your continued commitment to this process.

Our Essentials Market was buzzing with energy as a fantastic group of student volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help prepare fresh food items for distribution. Their hard work and generosity are helping us provide nutritious essentials while creating a community where everyone feels supported. Together, we’re making a meaningful difference.

Elevator

Update

Here's an update on the ongoing elevator upgrade efforts.

The stages of the project include sourcing, transporting, and installing the new elevator system components. This work represents a significant overhaul of the elevator system and is more extensive than a standard repair.

Once the installation is complete, the elevator's safety and licensing body will visit our site to review the upgrade, provide any required guidance, and complete the approval process before the elevator can return to service.

Based on the current timeline provided, the projected return-to-service date for the elevator is September/October 2026.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience and difficulties this delay continues to cause for staff, partners, visitors, and community members. We understand the importance of the elevator to building access and daily operations, and we will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Closed: August 3

PWA will be closed on Monday, August 3 in observance of Civic Holiday. Our offices will resume usual business hours on Tuesday, July 4. Happy Civic Holiday!
