2021 PWB President
As I write this letter, I can’t help but wonder what 2021 will bring! Even through the struggles of 2020, PWB grew by 16 new members and just in the month of January this year, we have another 8 new members! My promise to all members, current and new, is that the PWB Board will continue to do all that we can to bring value, not only to our organization and NIBCA, but also to the community of North Idaho!
It was such a pleasure to be able to get together in person for our first GMM of the year and, of course, I have high hopes that we will continue being able to do so! Our speaker series will be an ongoing theme for meetings as we head through the rest of winter and into spring. We hope to release a Speaker Calendar so that members are able to plan ahead. We will also be improving on our Facebook Live presentations for those that aren’t able to attend or who would like to share our value with potential new members!
One of the approaching events that PWB will be involved in is NIBCA’s 2021 Home and Garden Show, scheduled for April 23rd, 24th and 25th. This is such a fantastic community-wide event and, as always, we are excited to be a part of it! For more info, please go to https://nibca.com and click on Events. Also, upcoming (and continuing until the deadline in April) is our work to get the word out on PWB’s annual Scholarship Opportunity for students entering or currently enrolled in a building-related field at any Idaho college. This year has such promise and all of us on the PWB Board are so excited to work with you to be able to bring such great networking, volunteer and learning opportunities! We are in search of a larger venue for our monthly General Membership meetings so more members and guest can attend. Watch for updates on Facebook and in your e-mails!

The Professional Women in Building Council is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students entering a building-related field at any Idaho college. Examples of a building related field would be: carpentry, drafting, engineering, electrical, plumbing, interior design, HVAC, etc.
