As our organization continued to gain members and offer new and exciting opportunities for networking, learning and volunteering, the first quarter of 2021 certainly lived up to our hopes! So far this year, we’ve had 20 new members join, in large part due to the amazing efforts of our Membership Director, Jennifer Jenkins!!

With spring right around the corner, Professional Women in Building will be helping with NIBCA’s Home and Garden Show which is on track for the weekend of April 23rd through the 25th. Volunteer opportunities are still available! For more information or to sign up, please contact Jennifer Jenkins at (208) 699-4597 or [email protected].

Another fun event that we just love is Women’s Build which will be May 21st. For this one day, we partner with Habitat for Humanity to help in whatever way we can. Sometimes that’s painting or making necessary repairs and sometimes we frame walls and lay subfloors….yes, you get to use power tools! For more information and to sign up, please contact the NIBCA office at (208) 765-5518 or [email protected].

This year, PWB is also partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank, the Hayden Library and the Post Falls Library to distribute food to those in need. What’s so cool is that NIBCA members graciously donated $6000 to help make this event possible! PWB members are encouraged to help with the distribution which will be April 9th in Post Falls Library, April 29th at the CDA Fairgrounds and May 7th at the Hayden Library. For more information, please contact the NIBCA office.

Our Speaker Series continues to be a huge success as so much valuable information is being shared with our members!  Be sure to attend our April GMM where you will hear about “Growing Pains & Planning Efforts in the City of Coeur d'Alene”. Our featured speaker will be Hilary Anderson, Community Planning Director at City of Coeur d'Alene. Please, a big round of applause to our Public Relations Director, Michelle Garcia for continuing to plan and coordinate our speakers!! (yes, this is where you sit in your office and physically applaud all by yourself.)

Spring is such an exciting time of year with the birth of new ideas and the promise of a rewarding summer to come!! With this in mind, we look forward to getting together with all of you at our next PWB Social held at the offices at Selkirk Construction and Rosenberger Construction These two fantastic builders will be allowing us to tour their facilities and helping us to gain insight into just what it is that makes them so special! Watch for more information as to the date and time!

I look forward to seeing you all at our next PWB GMM at Seasons of Coeur d’ Alene on April 12th at noon.

Warm Regards,
