Nearing the Finish Line - In The Woods!
We’re thrilled to share some big news: major infrastructure improvements are close to wrapping up in The Woods! From upgraded water and gas lines to freshly restored roadways and improved curb appeal, progress is in full swing. These projects are all about keeping your neighborhood safe, functional, and looking better than ever. We are excited to be coming to the end of several projects soon. Here's what's happening and what you can expect in the coming months:
Gas Line Upgrades – Wrapping Up by Fall!
Our friends at CenterPoint Energy are hard at work replacing outdated gas lines with modern infrastructure. They're now in the final phase of the project and anticipate wrapping up by September 2025, with a strong possibility of finishing even sooner, as early as August! As part of the wrap-up, CenterPoint will restore all disturbed areas, reseeding and repairing lawns.
Water Line Improvements – Finishing Strong by Early Summer!
American Water and PWF contracted vendor have been diligently replacing water lines and tying them into each home. We’re excited to report that this work should be completely finished by the end of June!
PWF Contracted vendor will soon be off Collopy Drive and moving into Welcome Way by early May. Restoration, including soil grading, strawing, and reseeding is part of the package, with each team handling their share up to the “point of demarcation” (from the street to the home).
What About the Streets?
While contractors are only required to restore the exact areas they excavated, they will:
- Remove old millings
- Compact the base
- Resurface with fresh asphalt
As for full curb-to-curb repaving? It’s not in the current project scope, but we’ve already priced it out, and are working to plan that project. We’ll continue exploring options to make this long-term improvement happen, and let you know when we have a plan in place.
Grass, Lawns & Curb Appeal – Coming Back to Life!
We know your yards are important, and rest assured, they’re coming back better than ever. Each contractor is responsible for reseeding and strawing disturbed areas, and we’re keeping a close eye on it all to make sure restorations hold up.
Have you noticed something settling or looking off after the work is done? Let us know! We’ll inspect and file warranty claims when needed. This is a team effort!
What About the Driveways?
Driveway improvements are part of the Renovation Plan, managed by our own renovation team. We’ll provide updates soon on when and where this work will begin. Stay tuned!
Stay in the Know!
We’re committed to keeping everyone informed. That means updates like this will be shared in:
