Each calendar, which runs this September through next December, is $11 when you order through the Presbytery. This price is for pickup at the Presbytery office or, if we receive them from PCUSA in time, the August 18 Presbytery meeting at Enslow Park Presbyterian Church in Huntington; if we mail them to you, there will be an additional postage fee, calculated according to order size. An invoice for your total cost will be included with your order; it will contain information on how to pay online by credit card or through the mail by cash or check. Order here, by email at office@wvpresbytery.org or by phone at 304-744-7634. If you leave a voicemail, please include the number of calendars requested, your name and your church. All orders must be received by June 28.

Clerks of Session are annually invited to participate in one of the Session Record Reviews in order to fulfill the Book of Order requirement as outlined in G-3.0108a. The review sessions are a time to meet other Clerks of Session and share best practices, ideas, and questions as well as enjoy fellowship. Stated Clerk Maureen Wright is available to answer questions and work with Clerks to best serve their church. The late summer events offer both in-person opportunities and an online opportunity on Zoom; all are at 3 p.m.

Annual reports to the state are required for incorporated churches. The first annual report will be due by July 1 of the calendar year after the corporation is formed. This means that churches that incorporated in the calendar year 2021 will file their first annual report July 1, 2022; churches that incorporate in 2022 will file their first annual report July 1, 2023. Ruling elders have responsibilities in the life of the church, especially in the areas of leadership, governance, spiritual discernment, and discipline. This resource offers a deeper understanding of these responsibilities and helps deepen skills to be a better ruling elder. The monthly articles can be used individually or can be gathered around a particular topic.

Rev. Greg Stone, a minister member of the Presbytery, and Rev. Elizabeth Stone are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Erin, to James Jones on May 20. Also on that day, their eldest son, Joshua, and his wife, Erin, welcomed a daughter, Penelope Diane Stone, who is their eighth granddaughter.
