Philadelphia City Rowing brings together students from public and charter schools in communities otherwise excluded from the sport to form a rowing team. Their coaches start with basic fitness and swimming instruction before building rowing skills, and finally preparing their students to row competitively. The students receive academic support, nutrition and environmental education, and practice goal setting to complement their athletic growth. Philadelphia City Rowing coaches make sure their students are always ready for their next race, and for college and careers too.
