Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Chanukah
In this time of remembrance, I am thankful for all the coaches who work so hard so that we can practice and work out. Without them, we would not improve our swimming technique.
Our meet director volunteers - One never realizes how much work goes into a meet until you run a meet.
Our meet officials, whether the weather is hot, cold, windy or rainy, we have a great cadre of officials who work the decks of our meets.
Peter Guadagni - he has taken over as chair and has been doing a great job of guiding PacMasters.
Nancy Ridout - thank you for the years of serving Masters Swimmers as our registrar and Top Ten Chair. I know how much time and effort you have given to Masters Swimming.
Our Pacific Masters Committee - a fine group of people who volunteer their time so that PacMasters is well organized; so that things get done in a timely manner.
My lane buddies - I know there are swimmers who can get a workout from a coach and then work 100% on making all the times. I can't. I will try to out swim the people in the less fast lane ( and know when I am not) and try to keep up with the swimmers in the faster lane; and with the swimmers in my lane, when the coach posted an aggressive set last week and only two of us in the lane, when I felt like bagging it, I couldn't stop for a 50 as Amy the leader of the set was also doing the set - so I had to do it also.
And to Jim Clemmons, who recently started reviewing the Update before it is sent out. He tries to finds the misplace modifiers, dangling participles, subject verb mismatch and all the other ways that I have found to mess up written English.
