New York State Small Business Pandemic Recovery Grant
The New York State Pandemic Recovery Grant program offers grants of up to $50,000 for small businesses who have seen a 25% revenue reduction as a result of the pandemic and meet all other eligibility requirements. In partnership with Empire State Development (ESD), the Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, and TD Bank, the Pace University SBDC hosted a webinar last month covering program basics and how to apply. For more information, visit the Pace SBDC's NYS Pandemic Grant webpage and connect with a Pace University SBDC business advisor if you have additional questions.
The Pace University SBDC in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) NY District Office presented a webinar covering the basics of government contracting, the procurement process, and related resources. One such resource is BidLinx, an SBA online tool and bid-matching service that sifts through thousands of opportunities and returns relevant results to searchers. The webinar also covered the various certifications available for small businesses. If you need help in your search for government contract opportunities, contact the Pace University SBDC and meet with a business advisor.
Developing Your Brand Story and Assets Workshop
In June, the Pace University SBDC collaborated with Lubin School of Business Professor Peggy Kim on a four-part workshop titled Developing Your Brand Story and Assets. The program brought together 16 Pace University SBDC clients in an effort to help them understand their brands, teach them how to cultivate a compelling brand story, and show them how their brand story can factor into a successful marketing plan. Read our blog post recapping the program and speak with a Pace University business advisor about improving your business's branding.
