SBA Lender Panel Recap
The Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration New York District Office, co-hosted a March 3rd webinar titled Access to Capital - Small Business Lending Panel. Lenders from Flushing Bank, Key Bank, Accompany Capital, and the Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union reviewed small business financing programs, loan packaging recommendations, and key lending terms. At the end of the webinar, Pace SBDC business advisors and the lender panelists co-hosted Q&A breakout rooms for all attendees. Read about it on our blog.
#SBDC Day
On March 16, the Pace SBDC celebrated SBDC Day, joining with the nearly 1,000 SBDC centers across the U.S. and thousands of clients to share small business success stories and the notable impact SBDCs have collectively made in their communities. We extend a huge thank you to our small business and entrepreneur clients who participated and shared their appreciation for Pace SBDC. See our social media shout-outs and read our #SBDCday blog post to discover what the Pace SBDC can help you accomplish.
Success Story: Grindhaus
Our latest client success story is owner Erin Norris's Grindhaus located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The restaurant was able to reopen in January 2022 after experiencing a lengthy shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With financing guidance from Pace SBDC Business Advisor Rawle Brown, Grindhaus managed to secure funding from the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. Read the full success story on our website.
Procurement and Certification Assistance
We're proud of our clients and the hard work that they've put into expanding their small businesses, especially during such a tumultuous two years. One way small businesses expand their operations is by adding the government as a customer. If this goal interests you, meet with a Pace SBDC Business Advisor for personalized procurement assistance. Advisors help business owners develop capabilities statements, find contracting and subcontracting opportunities through Bidlinx, obtain capital to deliver on contracts, and apply for certifications including MWBE. Look at our newly updated certifications webpage with links to programs that give small firms a procurement advantage.
