Call for Coach of the Year Nominations
Deadline: February 14

Whatever the reason we start Masters swimming, many of us depend on our coaches to keep us coming back to the pool. Whether it is providing stroke instruction to help us improve or stay injury-free, workouts that are interesting and challenging, or a word of encouragement when we are feeling down, our coaches are an essential element of our swimming routine. Please consider recognizing his or her efforts by nominating your coach for the Pacific Masters Coach of the Year Award. Submissions should include a nomination letter along with a maximum of four support letters. A description of the award along with the nomination and selection process can be found here. More details can be found here. Nominations for Pacific Masters Coach of the Year are due Thursday, February 14, 2019 and should be sent to the
Chair of Pacific Masters .
USMS Gold Clubs

USMS has launched the concept of Gold Clubs. There are probably Pacific Masters clubs that currently qualify for this status that have not been designated and others that could qualify with a few minor adjustments. Interested clubs should review the requirements on the USMS website or contact Stu Kahn ([email protected]) or Bill Brenner at the USMS National Office.
How Age Group Standings Work

A new year is here and the   2019 Age Groups Standings   page is active. Standings for 2018  aren't quite in final  form as we wait for USMS to publish its short course meters top ten list. That list is expected in late February.
