EVENTS AND CLINICS
Spring Lake
May 18
 
Spring Lake, Santa Rosa, is the first swim of the PacMasters Open Water Season.  This is a great swim for the novice and experienced open water swimmer. The looped course around the lake is easy to follow and you are always close to shore. The lifeguards on the water put on a safe and fun event. Best of all, the swims are finished early so you can enjoy the rest of the day in the North Bay. Join us!  Information and Registration
Bay Area Senior Games
May 19
 
The Bay Area Senior Games swim meet will be held at the Rinconada Pool in Palo Alto on Sunday, May 19. Registration has closed but meet organizers and swimmers are grateful for volunteer timers. Come time and root for your friends. Information
37th DAM Lake Berryessa Swim
June 1

Davis Aquatic Masters will again host the 1-mile and 2-mile open water races at Lake Berryessa. The 2-mile open water race is this year's 2019 U.S. Masters Swimming Middle-Distance Open Water National Championships. The deadline to enter and buy a t-shirt is Saturday, May 18. Pre-registration, without t-shirt, closes at midnight on Wednesday, May 29.
 
Join hundreds of other USMS swimmers at one the longest running open water events in America then stay to party/picnic at the lake!   Information   and Registration
Keelhauler LCM Time Trial
June 2

Keelhauler's Time Trial is a must for swimmers new to long course swimming. If you have "aged up," you will benefit in knowing your long course baselines for the next level of Age Group swimming.  Join Cal Maritime Academy Masters in Vallejo where they welcome you to swim in their outstanding 50 meter pool.  Plan on a nominal parking fee. Donations ($5-$10) to drop in are welcome. 
Del Valle Open Water Festival
June 8-9

Tri-Valley Masters welcomes you to its two-day Open Water Festival at Lake Del Valle in Livermore! The festival will start on Saturday with 5K and 10K races. Sunday will feature races of 1.2K, 2.5K. If you're new to open water swimming, try the 1.2K swim, which is run first. For a good workout, do both! Lake Del Valle offers plenty of parking and is a good place to bring the kids.

Officials Needed 
May 19 AND August 7-11

Volunteers are needed, especially timers, for the Senior Games to be held at Rinconada on Sunday, May 19. It's only one day! Come to help out and witness true grit and determination as our seniors compete.  Information.

Officials interested in working at the USMS Summer National Championships in Mission Viejo are requested to contact Mike Abegg to begin planning for the event. 
CALM Seeking Assistant Coaches  
 
Cal Aquatic Masters (CALM) of UC Berkeley Rec Sports is seeking capable, energetic assistant coaches for their Masters workouts at all times of the day during the summer. Workouts will take place at one of many UC Berkeley pools. For more information apply here .
Pacific Masters Meeting
May 15
 
Our monthly meeting will take place Wednesday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. in person and 7:30 p.m. by conference call. All members are encouraged to attend. For details, please contact Chris Ottati, Administrator.
