Come support recovery efforts in the area while helping out Redding Swim Team. They have a great t-shirt available this year, too! Please note: Contrary to what was announced in a prior Update, the swims will be held at Brandy Creek Beach, as in previous years. Registration.

Ross Yancher Memorial Brute Squad and Inaugural Brute Squad Lite ePostal Swim
October 1-November 30
Time again to challenge yourself with the 11th Annual Brute Squad e-Postal, sponsored by Davis Aquatic Masters! The event consists of a timed, continuous 200 butterfly, followed by a 400 IM, and finishing up with a 1650 freestyle. For those to whom these distances seem intimidating, DAM created a smaller event this year called the Brute Squad Lite. This event features timed, continuous distances of 100 fly, 200 IM and a 500 free. Completing either of these events is still something to brag about! Information.

Editor's Note
The USMS Nationals and FINA World Championships are proud memories, but we swimmers do not rest on our laurels. We return to the pool, to regular practices, preparing for the next competition. Staying in top shape means facing workouts that can be challenging and downright hard. Read about what to do when tough sets scare the chlorine out of you.
