Call for Coach of the Year Nominations
Deadline: February 14

What ever the reason we start Masters swimming, many of us depend on our coaches to keep us coming back to the pool. Whether it is providin g stroke instruction to help us improve or stay injury-free, workouts that are interesting and challenging, or a word of encouragement when we are feeling down, our coaches are an essential element of our swimming routine. Please consider recognizing his or her efforts by nominating your coach for the Pacific Masters Coach of the Year Award. Submissions should include a nomination letter along with a maximum of four support letters. A description of the award along with the nomination and selection process can be found in the Pacific Masters Administrative Handbook. Club Affiliation for Competition

When a PacMasters member enters a meet, they must enter with a club affiliation that matches their current registration. If a member would like to transfer to another club affiliation, it can be done by their registrar upon written request. A member must wait 60 days between competitions with different clubs and needs to enter as unattached in any swim competition until that time period is completed. Unattached swimmers may not swim in relays or gather points for a club. If you need a club transfer form or have questions, please visit our website Pacificmasters.org or contact Charlene O'Brien administrator
From the Editor

Do you want to swim faster? I've given a link to a nice article that shows in annotated pictures 10 reasons why Katie Ledecky swims faster than you. Of course she is still in her teens and trains harder than nearly everyone, but there is a lot we all can learn from watching her swim. Read the article
